A Group of Jizo Statues in Hirano

osakariley · Jun 3, 2022 · Leave a Comment

Jizo statues are an important part of Japanese culture and the inspiration for Jizo Cats. Today, I found a group of them congregating in a shelter at a temple in Hirano.

I was in Hirano, at Senkouji (Senkou Temple) to shoot a number of videos for the Jizo Cats Glimpses of Osaka series on the YouTube channel. The temple grounds provided me with a rich selection of interesting topics for seven new videos, which will be appearing on the channel soon.

If you have not yet checked out the Glimpses of Osaka videos, and found some fun places to visit in this eclectic city, be sure to go watch some now. Each Glimpses of Osaka video is short, to the point, and fun.
