The following terms and conditions (the “Terms”) apply to all of the real-world and virtual events (the “Experiences”) that are available to the owners of a Jizo Cats NFT (“Owned NFT”).
1. Definitions
As used in these Terms:
“Terms” means the entire contents of this document.
“Experience” means an event, including, but not limited to, a virtual visit to a Shinto shrine to put a wish on a prayer plaque, receipt of a Jizo Cats coffee table book, and a guided tour of Osaka with Kevin Riley.
“Creator” means Kevin Riley, the founder and creator of Jizo Cats.
“NFT Owner” means the person who currently is the owner of a Jizo Cats NFT (“Owned NFT”) as recorded on the relevant blockchain.
“NFT” means a non-fungible token, tracked and recorded on the relevant blockchain.
“Owned NFT” means an NFT that has been minted, purchased, or otherwise acquired from a legitimate source, and whose current ownership is recorded on the relevant blockchain.
“Kanji Collection” means the collection of 300 original Jizo Cats NFTs that display a kanji character, or set of characters, and artwork that illustrates the meaning of the kanji.
2. The Experiences
A. Osaka Tour
Each Owned NFT in the Kanji Collection comes with a ticket that provides the NFT Owner with the opportunity to get one of 25 free all-day tours of Osaka. This Experience includes:
i) A guided tour for the NFT Owner, and up to three family members or friends, with the Creator, who is a long-time Osaka resident. The tour will start at 8:00 on the reserved day and continue until 18:00, with visits to a number of interesting places in Osaka. All effort will be made to honour special requests from NFT Owner.
ii) All train tickets for transportation around Osaka during the tour.
iii) Lunch at the Chiyo Okonomiyaki restaurant as guests of the Creator.
iv) An afternoon snack of takoyaki (Osaka street food).
v) A visit to a Shinto shrine and a prayer plaque for the NFT Owner.
vi) A commemorative photo.
This Experience is subject to the following:
i) This Experience is available to the first 25 NFT Owners to redeem the ticket included in the unlockable content of their Owned NFT.
ii) The Experience ticket can only be redeemed one time.
iii) Reservations for this Experience must be made 7 days in advance, following the instructions on the ticket included in the unlockable content of the Owned NFT. Any known food allergies must be reported at that time.
iv) This Experience is an all-day tour (starting at 8:00 and ending at 18:00) and does not include flights, accommodation, or other amenities outside the items listed above.
v) During the tour, the Creator shall not be held liable for damages incurred by the NFT Owner, or any member of the NFT Owner’s party, due to, but not limited to, any of the following reasons: accidents, illness, food poisoning, food allergies, natural disasters, theft, delays or suspension of transportation services, fire, government regulations or orders, civil unrest, or war. The Creator may take any necessary measures if the NFT Owner, or any member of the NFT Owner’s party, needs treatment during the tour due to illness, injury, or other situations.
vi) All extra purchases made by the NFT Owner, or any member of the NFT Owner’s party, during the tour shall be the responsibility of the NFT Owner.
vii) Depending upon the Covid situation at the time of the tour, the NFT Owner and any members of the NFT Owner’s party may be required to wear an appropriate and properly fitting protective mask in all indoor places visited during the tour.
viii) To ensure fairness for all NFT Owners, and that every NFT Owner gets a fair opportunity to redeem their ticket for an Osaka tour, anyone redeeming their ticket for an Osaka tour must utilize it (join a tour with Kevin Riley) within 45 days of redeeming the ticket. If not used within 45 days of redemption, the reserved tour again becomes available to all NFT Owners who have not yet redeemed their Owned NFT’s tour ticket.
B. Shinto Prayer Plaque
Each Owned NFT in the Kanji Collection comes with a ticket that provides the NFT Owner with the opportunity to get a free all-day tour of Osaka, or an alternative virtual visit to a Shinto shrine to put the NFT Owner’s wish on a plaque. This Experience includes:
i) A Shinto prayer plaque, bought at the Shinto shrine that best suits the NFT Owner’s wish. Ebisu for business and prosperity, Ikutama for entertainment industry success, Hatsutenjin for love and relationship, Sukunahakone for health, and Osaka Tenmangu for education.
ii) The NFT Owner’s wish written on the prayer plaque and hung on the special board at the shrine.
iii) A commemorative photo of the Shinto prayer plaque, with the NFT Owner’s wish written upon it.
This Experience is subject to the following:
i) The ticket included in the unlockable content of the Owned NFT cannot be redeemed for this Experience if it has already been redeemed for the Osaka Tour Experience. Note: Filling out a prayer plaque is done in person as part of the Osaka tour.
ii) Wishes can only be as long as will fit on the approximately 3.5″(9cm) x 5.5″(14cm) plaque (see the instructions included with this Experience’s ticket in the unlockable content).
C. Coffee Table Book
Upon all 300 Kanji Collection NFTs being minted, a coffee table book will be published and sent to each NFT Owner, who is registered on the blockchain as the NFT Owner at the time. This Experience includes:
i) A full-colour, hard-cover, 8.5″(22cm) x 11″(28cm) coffee table book, displaying the artwork of all 300 Kanji Collection NFTs.
ii) One piece of artwork per page, with a written description under the artwork.
This Experience is subject to the following:
i) The voucher for this Experience, found in the unlockable content of an Owned NFT, can only be redeemed once by the current NFT Owner. After it has been redeemed for that individual NFT, it cannot be used again.
ii) NFT Owners in some countries may face delays in receiving the coffee table book due to the shipping restrictions of the printer and/or conditions at the time; however, all efforts will be made to ensure the coffee table book will be shipped to the redeeming NFT Owner as soon as possible.
3. Terms of Experiences
By redeeming an Experience ticket or voucher, the NFT Owner acknowledges and agrees to these Terms.
